Whether you're a first-time or a seasoned parent, you can feel confident knowing you are supported by a compassionate, experienced group of professionals dedicated to safe, personalized and empowering maternity care.
A true team approach
Christy Aberg, Isabel Brewster, Jewelia Chevalier, Kerri Hoyt, and Kelli McKay, our Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) work together as a team and bring decades of collective experience and diverse backgrounds to your care. Each midwife offers full-scope midwifery services, from prenatal visits and gynecologic care to labor and delivery support and postpartum follow-up. And while you may begin your journey with one midwife, the strength of our practice is in its team-based approach.
Throughout your pregnancy, you’ll have the opportunity to meet each of our CNMs, giving you the comfort of familiarity no matter who is on call when you go into labor. Behind the scenes, the team meets regularly, shares information seamlessly, and follows consistent, evidence-based protocols so that your care remains coordinated and tailored.
Support for your vision
At New England Midwifery, we take the time to get to know your values, preferences and goals for your birth. Whether you’re interested in an unmedicated birth, want to explore pain management options, or have specific wishes about who is present, we’re here to support you.Our CNMs are highly-skilled in birth planning, advanced fetal monitoring, and labor support. They’ll work with you to create a plan that reflects your wishes while maintaining the flexibility needed for any clinical changes that may arise.
Deliveries take place at The Mom’s Place at Catholic Medical Center, a state-of-the-art unit featuring all-in-one Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) suites. Here, you’ll labor, deliver, and recover in the same comfortable room.
Our team also benefits from close collaboration with attending OB/GYNs, neonatal specialists, and anesthesia providers, should additional expertise or intervention be needed. This integrated care model ensures your birth plan is honored while giving you immediate access to specialized care if necessary.
CMC is nationally recognized for implementing the couplet care NICU model, which keeps babies and their mothers together even when neonatal support is needed. This approach fosters early bonding, breastfeeding success, and better outcomes for both mom and baby.
